Mating Celebration Cake Tower

The Peneshire Ewes are partying hard at various Rammitzvahs. And General Iris isn’t to miss the fun back at Baapolis. She has ordered some of the Corgi Guards to start building a giant baked goods tower at the public agora in preparation for the mating celebration of Kopernicus and the Peneshire Ewes Iris had chosen for Kopernicus.

This tower is to be sumptuous because all of Baapolis and nearby villages will come for the celebration. It’s got to look grand, as everything General Iris does and wants. She wants the top platform to hold the most ostentatious mating cake, highlighting all the bests of Baapolis: the exotic honey flown in by the bees across the world, the delicate rose essences right from the undulating tea hills of Baapolis, the lush juicy strawberries of late summer, and a creek in the cheek tangy lemons.

Kopernicus and Houdini happen to stroll through the agora. The market is quite busy with various vendors. Around them: A Pelican booth selling dried shrimp skins for working dogs, and seaweeds for sheep citizens. A Horse lugging in milled flours.

Countless hens fly in frenzy, crossing Kopernicus and Houdini. “Out of the way! Out of the way!” They all bok with urgency.

Kopernicus wonders what’s all the hecticness about, and why the tall tower. Mrs. Brown kindly informs him that General Iris has ordered the mating celebration to be just a moon from now. She wants to seal the deal fast.

This does not excite Kopernicus.

But one person is terribly exhilarated. And that’s Pouf. “I got assigned to make the royal wedding cake at the very top!” She cries with joy and is proud to show off her skills. Pouf is a magnificent baker, however not often given the chance to shine in the large crowded Baapolis kitchen, where every day the priority was to keep all the royal sheep well fed, and not zoning in on a special showstopper.
